Reminder: There is Power in Prayer

October has become a month that holds special meaning for me.

Years ago, it was a month when I was often led to fast and pray. But seasons shift, and after a while, I wasn’t led to fast in the same way. Instead, I was reminded of the power of prayer during this month.

And maybe that’s a reminder we all need sometimes.

Life gets busy. We get distracted. Other things begin to occupy our minds, and before we know it, our prayer life can start to feel less intentional.

It’s not that we don’t love God. Sometimes we simply lose focus. Other times, we’re wrestling with discouragement, battling unbelief, or trying to make sense of what’s happening around us.

It’s in those moments that I’ve learned just how essential prayer is.

I can call on God when I’m not doing everything right. I can cry through a prayer. I can stumble my way through confessing my tangled beliefs as I ask for help. I can come to Him without having the right words or having everything figured out.

And that’s the beauty of prayer. You can ask. You can come as you are.

This is your reminder: it doesn’t have to be perfect. If you seek Him, He will show Himself.

There is solace.
There is peace.
There is rest for your weary soul.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, whether you’re on a spiritual high or struggling just to stay afloat, God is a God who meets us where we are, with what we have.

So maybe this October, you find yourself stammering your way through the rest of 2026, simply trying to survive these last few months.

If that’s you, let this be your confirmation:

He is here for you.

He is seeking you, even now.

You don’t need a perfect prayer. You just need to open your heart and talk to Him.

Matthew 6:33

“How can I be more intentional with my prayer life and relationship with God?”
