How to Find Your Voice Again and Rebuild Confidence Through God

Some confidence isn’t born, it’s transformed out of the fire of life.

To go from a scared timid girl, to a woman embracing her walk in life is so freeing.

And if you find yourself still on the end of feeling small and finding your footing with a desire to set younger you free, it’s ok. God can redeem your story.

Take for instance Bathsheba, her story stands in the shadow of David (2 Samuel 11). A king who took advantage of her. She was in a position that she could not speak up or defend herself even if she wanted. And she lost it all: her life, her husband, and even her child.

Maybe that’s you:

Lost your job.

Lost your purpose.

Lost your finances.

Lost close friends.

Lost your hope.

And worst it seems it wasn’t your fault. You are left to bear the consequences of someone else’s actions.

But Bathsheba got her voice. And so can you.

A few chapters and whole book later we see Bathsheba speak (1 Kings 1:17). She stands up for what is rightfully her sons, and ultimately her legacy through him.

Maybe it’s the strength of motherhood. Maybe it’s because she was given permission, or maybe she carried the wisdom of getting older. We will never know. But we do know despite what you’ve been through, God is making room for your voice too. Making way for your testimony. Aligning those you’re called to help in your own way.

You can speak up.

You don’t have to shrink.

You can set your boundaries.

You can redesign your life with a new atmosphere that makes you feel safe.

You can choose friends that make you feel seen and not overlooked.

We don’t know the details of Bathsheba but you have the benefit of leaning on God, tapping into His power, believing the identity He created you with. That could look like uprooting and planting yourself in an environment that is healthier for you. Or it could be latching on to the boldness God gave you and finally embracing it right where you stand.

All that you need is already in you. So here’s to redeeming younger you. Standing bold. Shoulders straight. Speaking up even when you shake.
