What Season Are You In?
One of the downsides of the hustle and bustle (and there are many) is that as you get caught up in the doing. You become so focused on moving forward that you don’t always take time to pause and make sure you’re moving in the right direction.
That’s where reflection comes in.
Maybe you call it brainstorming. Maybe it’s stepping back. Maybe it’s watching from the balcony and looking at the bigger picture.
Whatever you call it, the purpose is the same: creating space to pause, evaluate, and gain clarity.
And specifically today, as we cross into the second half of 2026, I want to ask you:
What season are you in?
Maybe it’s the same season you started 2026 with. Maybe it looks completely different. Maybe it’s somewhere in between. But either way, it’s important to acknowledge where you are.
Because how you navigate a season of waiting is different from how you navigate a season of expectation.
A season of blooming requires curiosity.
A season of authority requires ownership.
A season of growth requires accountability.
A season of exposure requires vulnerability.
The season you are in is constantly changing even if it lasts longer than you hoped it would.
And when you understand your season, you can move with more intention instead of expending energy in ways that don’t serve where you’re going.
So here are five steps to help you reframe how you navigate each day:
Pray and settle your mind.
Before you start analyzing or planning, take time to quiet your thoughts and invite God into the process. In one word, name your current season.
What word best describes where you are right now? What does this season require of you?
What is this moment asking you to learn, release, build, or prioritize? What can remain the same, and what needs to change based on this season?
Not everything needs to be adjusted. But some things may need your evaluation. How can you implement those changes?
Remember, small steps are still progress. Consistency will always carry you further than big changes you cannot sustain.
I also have a video where I talk more about this, and you can watch it here.
At the end of the day, make sure you understand where your season is headed so you know how to navigate each day. You don’t want to spend energy fighting against where you are or carrying things you were never meant to hold.
Here’s to a beautiful season ahead.
